Moka Pot
⏱️ Time: 4–5 min
⚙️ Grind: Medium-Fine
Created in 1933 by engineer Alfonso Bialetti, the legendary Moka Pot (Cafeteira Italiana) has become an icon of coffee culture. Its operation relies on steam pressure rising from the bottom chamber, passing through the coffee-filled funnel, and condensing into the top pitcher.
Because it brews under a slight pressure (around 1.5 bar), the Moka Pot produces a full-bodied, intense, and aromatic beverage reminiscent of espresso’s strength. When prepared with pre-heated water in the base and medium-roasted beans, it delivers sweetness without burning the coffee.
